The Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series is not only for the pros but also amateur athletes of all abilities who have a chance at becoming a Toyota Cup champion. Professionals Professional triathletes will earn points for each race completed. To be eligible for the Toyota Cup, pros must start four of the five races. The top male and female point-getters will be the Toyota Cup Champions. Plus, the top three male and top three female pros will receive Series Points Bonuses. There is no points minimum in 2010 to receive the series bonus. Elite Amateurs The top five men and top five women elite amateur finishers from Minneapolis, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles will qualify for the Elite Amateur Championship in Dallas at the Toyota U.S. Open. At that race, the first-place male and first-place female from the elite wave will be Elite Amateur Toyota Cup Champions. Age-Group Amateurs The top 10 men and top 10 women from each Olympic distance age-group in Minneapolis, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles will qualify for the Age-Group Championships at the Toyota U.S. Open in Dallas. The first-place male and first-place female from each age-group will be the Toyota Cup Champions. |
